(BRIGHTON, ON) -On March 11, 2017 at 11:13pm members of the Northumberland detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a vehicle striking a house on County Road 30 near County Road 26 in Brighton.
Investigating officers determined that a northbound white Honda Civic lost control on a bend in the road north of County Road 26. The car left the roadway and struck a house on the east side. The lone female driver was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The occupants of the home, an adult and two small children were not injured.
The vehicle and home were both severely damaged.
Jessica Marie HADWEN age 27 of Trenton, Ontario is charged with Impaired Care & Control of a motor vehicle and Care & Control of a motor vehicle while her blood alcohol content exceeded 80mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood. She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on April 12, 2017.
