Impaired Driver Found In Ditch

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) – On Wednesday August 05, 2015, shortly before midnight, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle in the ditch along Hwy 23 north of Kirkton.

Officers located a Ford Freestar minivan in the east ditch facing south bound. A male was found seated in the driver’s seat of the van. The male displayed signs of impairment and emitted the odour of an alcoholic beverage from his breath. The male was arrested and transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville where he failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests.

25-year-old Gregory Robert Jack FORRESTER of London has been charged with “care or control while impaired (alcohol and drug)”, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He has a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on September 14, 2015, where he will have to answer to this charge.

His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and his motor vehicle was impounded for a period of seven days.
