IMPAIRED DRIVER CHARGED AFTER ROLL OVER COLLISION

(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON)- On Tuesday January 7, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Middlesex London Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a single vehicle roll over collision on Townsend Line and Centre Road. Upon speaking with the vehicle occupant’s police soon discovered that the driver had been drinking, a roadside screening test was administered at which time the driver registered a “FAIL”. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the OPP detachment for further tests.

As a result of an investigation police have charged Kyle DOUGLAS, age 35 of Warwick TWP with Driving a Motor Vehicle with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in his Blood, as per Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code. The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to appear in a London court room on February 4, 2014 to speak to the charges.

No serious injuries were reported as a result of this collision.
