(GRAND VALLEY, ON) – At approximately 12:52 am on April 27, 2015 Dufferin OPP were dispatched to a serious motor vehicle collision on Dufferin County Rd. #109 west of Dufferin Rd. #25 in Town of Grand Valley.
Preliminary Investigation reveals that a Tractor Trailer and pickup truck collided causing 400 liters of Diesel fuel to spill into ditch.
Dufferin EMS and Grand Valley Fire Department responded. Injured persons were transported to area hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
This section of Highway will remain closed for several hours while clean- up of scene is completed.
Investigation is continuing and no charges have been laid at this time.
**UPDATE: OPP have now laid charges in this serious collision. Dillon HOWELL, 22 years of age of East Garafraxa, Ontario was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He will appear in Orangeville Court to answer to the charge.
At 9:51 am April 27, 2015 Dufferin County Road 109 was re-opened.
