IMPAIRED DRIVER CHARGED

(WARWICK TOWNSHIP, ON) On January 18, 2014 at around 1:30 a.m., Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received reports of a possible impaired driver at the Tim Horton’s on London Line in Reece’s Corners. The GMC SUV was later located by police on Zion Line in the area of First School Road. While officers spoke with the driver, it was determined that he had been consuming alcoholic beverages. Subsequent investigation also determined that there were firearms in the driver’s residence that were not stored according to regulations. The firearms were seized and further tests indicated that 43 year old Glen APP from Warwick Township was over the legal limit. He will appear in a Sarnia court on February 3, 2014 to answer to the charges of impaired driving and to two counts of careless use of a firearm.
