Members of the Barrie Police Traffic unit were patrolling the downtown core when they observed a single vehicle weaving into traffic then running along snowbanks on Dunlop St.
Police stopped the vehicle and noticed the 31 year old driver had an odour of an alcoholic beverage on his breath.
The male was placed under arrest and read a demand for his breath samples.
However the accused refused to give any such samples to Police.
He was charged with Impaired driving and refusing a breath sample. He is facing a March Court date.
