(North Kawartha Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate after human remains were reported in a wooded area near Bayshore Road located on the east Shore of Chandos Lake after 5:30 pm this evening.
The discovery of these adult male remains is currently under investigation by the Peterborough County OPP Crime Unit under the direction of the Office of the Chief Coroner.
A post mortem examination will be scheduled at the Office of the Chief Coroner and Forensic Pathology Service in Toronto.
