(WASAGA BEACH, ON.) – On Tuesday, October 11th, 2016 at approximately 4:45 p.m., members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report that human bones were located at a construction site on 32nd Street South.
An intensive investigation with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police Forensic Unit and an anthropologist from the Ontario Centre of Forensic Science under the direction of the Huronia West OPP Crime Unit was conducted.
As a result of this investigation it is believed that the bones discovered belong to an ancient burial and as such they are being treated as non suspicious in nature at this time.
