(NAPANEE, ON)- On Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 1:45 p.m. An officer with the Napanee detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a theft from the Macs Convenience Store in Bath, Loyalist Township.
During the investigation the male became physically assaultive towards the officer. Additional officers attended to assist in the arrest. The police officers involved suffered minor physical injuries.
Charged with theft under $5,000, Two (2) counts of Assault Police Officer, and Two (2) counts of Resist Police Officer is 59 year old Hugh PEEVER of Bath
PEEVER was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee on August 21, 2018.
