(ST.MARYS, ON) Shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday June 21, 2011, Perth County OPP officers in St.Marys were called to a Break and Enter which had just occurred on Robinson St.
Investigation revealed that the resident returned home and heard movement in the home. The resident ran towards the noise and heard suspects leave the house by another door. The resident gave chase and caught up with one of the suspects on the sidewalk carrying a black bag on his shoulder. The suspect who was trying to get on a bicycle, let go of the bag when the resident pulled it. The resident fell allowing the suspect to escape in a northbound direction on Robinson St. The resident cut his knee and scraped his knuckles as a result of the fall.
The suspect is described as 15-18 years of age, wearing white shorts with a blue plaid pattern, a black shirt, a black ball cap. The suspect’s hair stuck out under the sides of the ball cap. The bicycle was a mountain bike, black and silver with a front suspension.
The second suspect is described as being male.
All the items taken from the home were recovered with the exception of a small amount of cash.
