(Bancroft, ON) – On October 6, 2016 at 10:15 p.m. members of Bancroft O.P.P responded to a break, enter and robbery with violence at an apartment on Snow Road in the Town of Bancroft.

Three male suspects forced entry into the apartment, assaulted the male resident with a weapon and proceeded to steal property before fleeing. Shortly thereafter responding officers stopped a vehicle on Highway # 28 where two of the involved men were arrested. The third suspect fled the vehicle on foot. Members of the O.P.P Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team were dispatched to assist in the search. This man is still outstanding and the investigation is continuing. The victim sustained minor injuries.

A 24 year old man of Norwood, ON and a 31 year old man of Beaverton, ON have been charged with:

Robbery With a Weapon

Assault with a Weapon

Break and Enter

Mischief Under $5000

Both men have been held for a bail hearing at Ontario Provincial Court – Belleville on October 7, 2016.
