(PORT HOPE, ON) –On October 20, 2015 at 5:18am Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Port Hope Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a report of an explosion at a residence on Lunny Lane, Port Hope.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office (OFM) was contacted and have sent fire investigators to the scene. A joint investigation is underway involving the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit and OFM. Investigators have been unable to confirm if there were any persons injured as a result of the explosion.
Lunny Lane is closed to traffic and the scene is being held pending the outcome of the investigation.
