(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment have charged a 19-year-old male with stunt driving after police stopped a motor vehicle at a Queensway East, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at approximately 11:18 p.m., officers were on patrol in the area of Queensway East when a vehicle attracted an officer’s attention. The vehicle was subsequently stopped and investigated.
As a result of investigation, police have charged 19-year-old Tanner John Clarence HOLDEN of Norfolk County, Ontario with Stunt Driving.
“There will be zero tolerance for motorists driving aggressively, impaired by drugs or alcohol, distracted drivers or those who fail to buckle up. Driving safety is everyone’s responsibility and it starts before the vehicle is put into drive” comments Constable Ed Sanchuk, Norfolk County OPP.
OPP are reminding all motorists that the minimum fine for Stunt Driving, if convicted is $2,000 and an automatic drivers licence suspension for 7 days.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charge.
