Hit And Run – Woman Hit By Vehicle On Front Lawn

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment is currently investigating a motor vehicle collision at a Donly Drive South, Simcoe. Norfolk County, ON, address.

On Monday, August 12, 2013, approximately 4:45 p.m., the Norfolk County OPP and Norfolk County Paramedics responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a 64 year old female from Norfolk County.

Through investigation it has been determined that a vehicle was travelling south bound on Donly Drive South when it failed to negotiate a turn in the roadway. The vehicle then proceeded to mount the curb and enter the west bound sidewalk continuing to travel south bound.

The vehicle struck the female that was located on the front lawn of her residence. She was subsequently transported to the Norfolk General Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The motor vehicle involved failed to remain at the scene of the collision and continued south bound on Donly Drive South. The vehicle is being described as a grey or silver automobile with front end damage.
