(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) – On Friday November 18, 2016, at approximately 1:45 a.m., members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to Perth Line 9 just west of Hwy 7 where a car left the roadway, jumped a curb, and struck a tree (which was completely uprooted).
Investigation revealed that a full sized Ford sedan maroon in colour was travelling westbound on Perth Line 9. After exiting the Hwy 7 round-about the vehicle skidded, crossed the eastbound lane and struck a spruce tree located on private property approximately 6 meters south of Perth Line 9.
The lone male occupant of the vehicle was observed with the vehicle. He was described as a tall Caucasian male possibly in his late 20’s, wearing a ball cap and a beige waist length coat.
The vehicle sustained damage to the passenger side including the passenger side bumper and mirror. There may be additional damage to the passenger side of the vehicle.
The vehicle left the scene and was last observed driving westbound on Perth Line 9 in the direction of St.Marys.
The involved motorist is requested to immediately contact the Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anyone who may have witnessed this collision or who has information about this Ford sedan is requested to contact the Perth County OPP.
