Hit And Run – Unconscious Male Lying On Road Airlifted To Hospital

(HALIBURTON, ON) On Sunday Sept. 13, 2015 at approximately 2:38 am officers from the Haliburton Highlands OPP were called to an incident on Bobcaygeon Road near Deep Bay Road in the Village of Minden. Haliburton County EMS and the Minden Hills Fire Department were also in attendance.

A seriously injured male had been found unconscious lying on the side of the road by two people passing through the area. It appeared the male had been struck by an unknown vehicle. The male was transported to a local hospital and later transferred by air ambulance to a Toronto area Trauma Centre where he remains in critical condition.

Technical Traffic Collision investigators from the OPP attended to assist with the investigation. Officers at the scene were able to retrieve debris that is believed came from the suspect vehicle.
