(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TWP. ON) – On December 22, 2014 at approximately 2:30 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a fail to remain motor vehicle collision which occurred on Hwy. 6 at County Road 7, Guelph-Eramosa Twp.
Investigation revealed that a Toyota Sienna van was travelling southbound on Hwy. 6 when the suspect vehicle attempted to make a left turn onto Wellington County Road 7. The driver of the Toyota Sienna, while attempting to avoid colliding with the suspect vehicle, sideswiped a light standard before entering a ditch and colliding with a culvert.
Guelph-Eramosa Fire Department, Guelph-Wellington EMS and Wellington OPP attended the scene. The driver who was the lone occupant of the vehicle was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect vehicle is described as a maroon mini-van, possibly a Dodge Caravan or similar with dark roof racks. The suspect vehicle was last seen heading westbound on Wellington Road 7 from Hwy 6. immediately following the collision.
