Barrie Police officer returning to the station from operating a RIDE Program came across a vehicle that had struck a hydro pole on Wellington St. The officers were advised by witnesses that the male was scene running from the scene w/b on Wellington. The 35 yr old Barrie male was located a short distance away and placed under arrest for impaired driving and Fail to Remain. The male was transported to the station and provided two breath tests. The male refused to provide a breath test and was held until sober and released with a future court relating to the charges of impaired drivng, refuse breath test and fail to remain at the scene of an accident
