Hit and Run Driver Sought 2013-07-30
(Hawkesbury, ON) On the 26th of July 2013, at approximately 4:20 pm, police were called to investigate a collision at the intersection of William St. and Regent Street in Hawkesbury where the driver of a vehicle involved had failed to remain at the scene of the collision.
The victim was driving a red Chevrolet Cavalier southbound on William Street in Hawkesbury. As he started to turn east onto Regent St. he was rear-ended by a light blue Hyundai.
The victim pulled over on the side of Regent Street where the suspect vehicle drove quickly by him, accelerating to leave the scene. The victim tried to catch up with the vehicle to obtain the licence plate. The suspect vehicle turned northbound onto Hampden Street without stopping at the stop sign, he then turned eastbound onto Main Street East without stopping at the stop sign. The suspect then turned southbound onto Laurier Street and a very high rate of speed escaping from the victim.

* Hyundai 4dr
* light blue in colour
* partial Ontario licence plate : B **689
year of vehicle: 2003 – 2006
* had 2 occupants at the time
* might have remains of red paint on the front bumper.
SUSPECT DRIVER :
* male, 25-30 yrs old
* thin built with goatee
