On November 21, 2013, at 6:50 p.m., the Guelph Police attended to the parking lot of Future Shop on Stone Road West to investigate a hit and run collision. It is alleged that a black Ford pickup truck, hit a parked car in the parking lot. This was witnessed by people who were lined up outside the store. The driver remained in his vehicle for several minutes before fleeing the scene.
At 11:50 p.m., information was received by police that the driver of the pickup truck had returned to Future Shop. Police attended and located the driver. A 21-year-old Guelph man is charged with fail to report accident.
Damage to the vehicles is estimated at $1,250.
