(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – The City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a motor vehicle collision involving a bicycle.
At approximately 8:00a.m. on April 30, 2015 a cyclist was travelling northbound on Sturgeon Point Road, between Golf Links Road and Irene Avenue when he was struck from behind by a motor vehicle. The vehicle did not remain at the scene. The male was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
Investigation revealed that the involved vehicle is a full sized pickup truck, blue in colour that had a red piece of equipment in the back at the time of the collision. The vehicle may have damage to the front right corner and the passenger side mirror.
