(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated a fail to remain collision at a Main Street, Port Dover, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Friday, May 25, 2018 at approximately 7:55 p.m., OPP were called to investigate a fail to remain motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Main Street and Thompson Drive.
Through the course of investigation, it was determined that at approximately 7:40 p.m., a 70-year-old female of Norfolk County, Ontario was walking with her family dog when they were both struck within the crosswalk of the intersection. The driver of the vehicle did not stop and continued westbound on Highway 6.
As a result, the pedestrian and her family pet suffered minor injuries.
The vehicle is described as an older model, light beige Toyota Corolla. The driver is described as a young male with blonde hair.
Police are continuing to investigate and are seeking the public’s assistance with this investigation. If anyone has any information, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
