(TAY TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a fail to remain motor vehicle collision involving two motor vehicles.
At approximately 10:55p.m., on April 30, 2015 a red Kia Forte was travelling northbound on Highway 93 between Penetanguishene Road and County Road 27 in Tay Township when a silver Honda CRV attempted to pass. A vehicle in the oncoming lane forced the Honda CRV back into the lane unable to pass. The Honda struck the rear bumper of the Kia Forte when it swerved back into the lane, forcing the Kia Forte into the ditch.
The silver Honda CRV did not remain at the scene. This motor vehicle was last seen in the area of Highway and Yonge Street in the Town of Midland. The Honda CRV may have damage to the front passenger side bumper.
