Hit And Run

(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON.) – Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fail to remain collision during the evening of March 19, 2015. Shortly before midnight, police were notified of damage to a hydro pole, on Muir Line near Substation Road in Norwich Township.

OPP attended the scene and discovered vehicle debris, and the hydro pole leaning on the wires and broken apart at the base of the pole which indicated a collision, had occurred. Through investigation it is believed that the suspect vehicle was travelling southbound on Muir Line when it lost control and entered the ditch where it collided with the hydro pole.

The suspect vehicle will likely have significant damage to the driver’s side, and missing the rear window as a result of the collision. Hydro One attended the scene to replace the damaged pole.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in this collision which remains under investigation.
