(TAY TOWNSHIP, On)- Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently at the scene of a serious 2 vehicle crash on Highway 12 between Rosemount Road and Gervais Road in Tay Township.
Tay Township Fire Service is also on scene providing extrication services and Simcoe County Paramedics are treating 3 injured occupants of the involved car and pick up truck at the scene.
Investigators have called upon members of the OPP Central Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigations Unit (TTCI) to assist in the investigation of the crash that occurred at 2:57pm this afternoon.
Motorists are being redirected around the crash scene via Rosemount Road and Gervais Road for the duration of the investigation. Investigators suggest that Highway 12 east and west bound will be closed for several hours for investigation purposes.
