HIGHWAY 11 CRASH SENDS MALE TO HOSPITAL BY ORNGE

(Oro-Medonte Twp, On)- Members of the Barrie Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently at the scene of a single vehicle rollover in the north bound lanes of Highway 11, south of Line 1, Oro-Medonte Township.

Investigators are being assisted by members of the OPP Central Region Technical Traffic Investigation Unit along with Oro-Medonte Township Fire Service and Georgian Paramedic Service.

The male driver of the car was treated at the scene and transported to Royal Victoria Hospital by paramedics and was flown by Ornge to a Toronto area hospital for further treatment of serious injuries suffered in the crash which occurred at 8:11am this morning.

Currently traffic is being directed to the north bound lanes of Highway 400 extension, south of the crash scene for investigation purposes.

Further update will be provided when the highway is fully open.
