(ADJALA-TOSORNTIO TOWNSHIP, ON) – On the evening of the 24th of November 2014 the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police officers were extremely busy responding to calls for service, as a result of the wind storm. At 5:57 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a collapsed barn with two people trapped underneath. The barn is situated in the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio. The barn was in the process of being constructed when the wind picked up, and the two men attempted to support the structure with braces when it collapsed on top of them. A 64-year old male from Essa Township, and a 25-year old male from Mulmur Township were sent to hospital with serious injuries. They were employees of a company constructing the barn, therefore the Ministry of Labour were advised.
