Hesson Church Break-in – 17 Year Old Charged

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Wednesday evening May 16, 2012, Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to a break-in at the Hesson Christian Fellowship Church, in the hamlet of Hesson.

Investigation revealed that sometime between Sunday May 13th and Wednesday May 16th the church was entered and about $4,490.00 worth of electronic equipment was removed from the building.

As Perth County OPP officers were investigating the church break-in, a Huron County OPP officer was investigating a break and enter in Fordwich. The Huron County officer attended a suspect’s residence in Howick Twp., where he located the property belonging to the Hesson Christian Fellowship Church.

A seventeen year old male from Howick Twp has been charged with “possession of stolen property”. The electronic equipment has been returned to the church.
