(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On November 24, 2014 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint related to a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner in the Bobcaygeon area.
Information received indicated that a vehicle was driving at a high rate of speed and had almost struck a person in the parking lot of a local business. An OPP officer was able to locate the vehicle and upon approach, determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol.
As a result of the investigation Heather LAMB, 32 years of age, of Fenelon Falls, was arrested and charged with impaired driving and having care and control of a motor vehicle while having more than 80mgs of alcohol in 100mls of blood contrary to the Criminal Code. The vehicle was towed from the scene and the accused’s driver’s licence was automatically suspended for 90 days.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on January 8, 2015.
