In the week of April 13th to April 20th, Hawkesbury OPP officers responded to 238 occurrences. Four break and enter incidents were reported. Four incidents of assault and five incidents of theft were reported. In the last week, officers did not investigate any impaired driving related incidents. Out of these 238 occurrences, 26 concluded with accusations.
MISCHIEF TO TIRES
(St-Isidore, ON) The Hawkesbury OPP is investigating a series of mischief that were reported on April 3rd 2015 in the Village of St-Isidore. Someone victimized more than 20 vehicles by slashing their tire sometime overnight.

BREAK AND ENTERS
(Hawkesbury, ON) The Hawkesbury OPP is still investigating a break-in that occurred on Tuesday March 17th at a Mary Street residence in Hawkesbury.
The investigation revealed that a white tall man, well dressed, wearing dark winter clothing, in his late 20’s, entered the single residential home by breaking in through a side door. The resident was present and spooked the “would be” thief who ran away, up the street, toward Aberdeen street.
Nothing was stolen from the residence.
The Hawkesbury OPP Canine Unit, the Emergency Response Team and OPP Identification Unit assisted in the investigation.
Police went on the track of the fugitive to no avail.
The matter is still under investigation and police are looking for your help.

(Champlain, ON) The Hawkesbury OPP received a report of a break and enter that occurred on April 16th sometime between 11am and 3 pm at a residence situated on Highway 34 in Champlain.
Someone entered the residence by breaking in a door. The residence was ransacked. The thief(ves) ran away with approximately $500 in cash.

(East-Hawkesbury, ON) Hawkesbury OPP officers were called to investigate another daytime break in that occurred on April 17th sometime between 9 am and 8 pm at a residence situated on Concession 7 in East-Hawkesbury.
Someone entered the residence and searched the scene. A jewelry box, which was valued at approximately $2,000.00, was stolen. It contained the following:
– Four gold wedding rings
– one white-gold wedding ring
– three gold chains
– one silver Pandora bracelet
– one pair of pearl earrings
– four pairs of gold earrings

PATROL CAR INVOLVED IN COLLISION
(Wendover, ON) On Saturday April 11 2015, at approximately 8:40 pm, a Ford Crown Victoria patrol car, driven westbound on County Road 17 was hit at the County Road 19 intersection in Wendover by a 2013 black Honda Civic, driven northbound on County Road 19.
The police unit was hit and ended up in the ditch.
The investigation led by the Russell County Detachment revealed that the driver of the Honda Civic, who was at the stop sign of the intersection, did not yield for traffic on County Road 17.
Christian DÉLORME (31 yrs) of Alfred-Plantagenet was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with section 136 (1)(b) Failing to yield the right of way.
No one was injured in the collision.
