(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH) – At approximately 6:15 pm, Saturday, July 25th, 2015, one of our officers was patrolling in the area of the 11th line of New Tecumseth when he was informed by a passing motorist of a grey coloured SUV driving erratically in the area. Within minutes the officer observed a vehicle with similar description travelling on the 11th line at an excessive rate of speed. The officer was able to pace the vehicle and determined the speed of the vehicle to be 184 km/hr. This is a posted 80 km/hr zone.
Hassan Farooq, age 18, of Maple Ontario, has been charged with stunt driving, 184 Km/hr in a 80 Km/hr zone. He will appear in Court at a later date.
