HASKINS – Theft

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment investigated an incident after being called to a Queensway East, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at approximately 4:21 p.m., employees from the Real Canadian Superstore store contacted police to report a theft.

Through the course of investigation, it was determined that a male entered the store and removed merchandise. The unknown male was confronted by employees at which time he fled to an awaiting vehicle.

The vehicle is being described as a dark coloured Volkswagen Touareg.

On Saturday, March 5, 2016, police arrested and charged 41-year-old Michael Shawn HASKINS of Norfolk County, Ontario with theft under $5,000.

He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charge.
