(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) -On October 29, 2014 at approximately 9:14 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a call from Guelph Police Service regarding a theft at a store in Guelph and the suspect was from Harriston. Officers located the suspect driving a 2001 Honda just after midnight on Elora Street South, Harriston and arrested the man. The stolen items were found and he was brought to an OPP Operations Centre.
Harry SMID age 48 of Harriston has been charged with;
Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Under $5000 x 2- Criminal Code
He appeared in Guelph Bail Court on October 31, 2014 to answer to the charges.
