(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment investigated a motor vehicle collision at a 7th Concession Road ENR Houghton, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Saturday, March 26, 2016 at approximately 2:04 p.m., OPP and Norfolk County Paramedics responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a motor vehicle and a pick-up truck.
Through the course of investigation, it was determined that a pick-up truck was towing a trailer northbound on Concession 7th ENR when debris inside, shifted causing some to stick out of the trailer.
A motor vehicle being operated by a 65-year-old female was travelling southbound on Concession 7 ENR, when the vehicle struck the debris. The driver suffered minor injuries however she was able to safely stop the motor vehicle without being involved in a collision and contacted the police.
As a result of investigation, police have charged 66-year-old Donald Henry HAMM of Norfolk County, Ontario with insecure load contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
