(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On March 21, 2016 at approximately 1:35 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a 2007 GMC pickup truck for speeding on Highway 89, Wellington North Township. It was discovered that the driver was not permitted to be driving because of two court orders.
His vehicle impounded for a period of 45 days as per statute.
61-year-old David HALEY of Georgian Bluffs Township has been charged with Driving While Disqualified contrary to the Criminal Code, Driving While Suspended and Speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on April 26, 2016.
