Covered Bridge Incident
On December 26, 2015 at 7:20am Guelph Police and the Guelph Fire Department were called to the covered bridge off of Gordon Street, where there was a report of a very small fire. Upon arrival Police discovered there had been a small fire that caused minimal damage. The fire is being considered suspicious and Police continue to investigate.

Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charges
On December 28, 2015 at 1:55am Guelph Police conducted a traffic stop on Woodlawn Road. The driver was found to have a suspended licence and was charged under the Highway Traffic Act. Continued investigation lead to multiple drug charges on the driver. A 54 year old Guelph woman was further charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. She is being held for a bail hearing.
Multiple Break and Enter Incidents
On December 24, 2015, the Guelph Police went to a Victoria Road business to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered sometime overnight and stole electronic equipment.

On December 24, 2015, the Guelph Police went to a Oliver Street residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered sometime overnight and a wallet, cell phone and Christmas gift were taken.

On December 26, 2015, the Guelph Police went to a Scottsdale Drive residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered sometime between 3pm Christmas Day and 1am on the 26th and stole computer equipment.

Theft from cars
On December 24, 2015 the Guelph Police received two reports from Guelph residents about thefts from their cars. The locations were Guelph Street and Burns Drive. On December 26, 2015 there was another report of a theft from a car on Burns Drive.
This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars, keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle and parked in a well-lit and visible area where possible.
