Guelph Police Daily News Release – 15Feb2017

Over the dinner hour on February 14th , staff of a Silvercreek Parkway restaurant attempted to speak to a man who had come in, sat at a corner table, began smoking and made no effort to order any food. The man then began yelling at staff and when he got up to leave, he kicked out one the restaurant’s windows. Police were unable to locate the man when they arrived, but were able to identify him from previous dealings with him over the course of the day.

Just after 2am this morning, officers located this 21 year male on Carden Street and he was arrested and charged with mischief and two counts of breaching his probation. He is scheduled to appear in bail court today.

Traffic related incidents

Over the course of the day police investigated eight collisions where no injuries were reported and traffic charges were laid in three of the collisions.

Traffic enforcement recorded 58 vehicle stops with traffic related charges issued in 32 of those stops.

Calls for service

On February 14, 2017 the Guelph Police Service responded to 215 calls for service.
