Halloween has come and gone in what was a safe and relatively quiet night. Police and Bylaw did attend to nine noisy party complaints. Ten bylaw tickets were issued in relation to those complaints. Police also received a scary clown complaint in the area of Hadati Road when a group of youths told an adult they had been chased by clowns in Peter Misersky Park. Police checked the area but did not find any clowns.
Break and enter
On October 31, 2016 at 7:30 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Speedvale Avenue East business to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered the gated compound and stole tools from vehicles.

Collision leads to impaired driving arrest
On October 31, 2016 at 9:23 p.m., the Guelph Police went to Cityview Drive for a two car collision. It is alleged that that a Dodge Charger struck a parked vehicle. Police spoke with the male driving the Charger, determined he was impaired by alcohol and he was arrested.
Jeffery Robertson, 34 years of Guelph has been charged with impaired driving and drive over 80mg. He will appear in court on November 18, 2016.
Theft from cars
On October 31, 2016 the Guelph Police received three reports from Guelph residents about thefts from their cars. The locations were Bristol Street, Bard Boulevard and Elginfield Drive.
This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars, keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle and parked in a well-lit and visible area where possible.
