Grey County OPP Searching For Missing Elderly Male

(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), with the assistance of the OPP West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), is currently searching for a missing elderly male.

George HANDZIK, 84, of Napoleon Street, Eugenia, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands, was last seen at approximately 4:30 p.m., today, August 20th, riding his bicycle east bound on Concession 8 towards the causeway in Eugenia. He was reported missing to police at 7:28 p.m.

Mr. HANDZIK, who suffers from dementia, but is otherwise in good physical condition, is described as follows:

Caucasian, 5’8”, 160 – 180 pounds

Short white hair (brushed back)

Prescription glasses

Wearing a blue jacket with a white stripe and dark coloured pants

He was riding a mountain bike that was either red and black, or white in colour.
