Gregory MILLAR – Resist, Driving While Disqualified

(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Thursday, October 29, 2015 at approximately 6:43 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a 2012 Buick Enclave on Alice Street, Flesherton, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands, after investigation revealed that the registered owner of the vehicle was a disqualified driver as a result of an impaired driving conviction.

The officer had determined that the driver was, in fact, the registered owner. While the officer was seated in his cruiser, the driver abandoned his vehicle and proceeded to walk southbound on Alice Street, refusing to return to the vehicle. When advised he was under arrest for driving while disqualified, he resisted police.

64-year old Gregory MILLAR of the Township of Southgate faces two counts of driving while disqualified and one count of resist police officer. He was held for a bail hearing scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2015.

The vehicle was impounded for 45 days.
