Gordon MARKLE – Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Etc

(Huntsville, ON)- After a thorough investigation, members of the Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police, Muskoka Crime Unit in partnership with Almaguin Highlands Crime Unit, North East Region Crime Prevention and Investigations Section and Central Region CDAT were involved in an arrest and charges against a local male for numerous drug related offences.

On Monday June 27, 2016 members observed activity in a parking lot on Howland Drive in the town of Huntsville that led to the arrest of Gordon MARKLE, a 62 year-old male from Huntsville, Ontario. As a result of this investigation and a search warrant of his residence, the accused faces several charges including:

Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine – Controlled Drug and Substances Act

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000.00 – Criminal Code of Canada

Possession of a Schedule I Substances for the Purpose of Trafficking – Other Drugs x2 – Controlled Drug and Substances Act

Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana – under 30grams – Controlled Drug and Substances Act

The arrest led to the seizure of over $6500.00 in drugs, and almost $5500.00 in property.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on July 4, 2016 to answer to his charges.
