Good Samaritans Rescue Driver

(ESSEX, ON)— The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Essex received numerous 911 calls for a report of a vehicle in a field on December 21, 2015 at approximately 9:40 a.m. on Essex County Road 11 in Essex.

Officers arrived on scene and although the weather was rainy and cold, observed several vehicles had stopped to render assistance to the lone male occupant and driver of the vehicle whose vehicle ended up on its driver’s side in a field.

Good Samaritans had trudged through the mud and retrieved a ladder to assist the male out of the vehicle.

The male driver was not injured and no charges were laid.

Both the OPP as well as the driver are grateful for the assistance provided.
