On Sunday, November 3 2013 at 1:57 am, an officer was on patrol on Twin City Crossroads when the officer observed the driver of a vehicle driving without any headlights on.
The officer stopped the vehicle and upon speaking with the driver, detected an odour of alcohol emitting from the drivers breath and the driver exhibited obvious signs of impairment. Subsequently, the driver was found to be over the legal limit.
Glen AUSTIN, 42 years of age from Oliver Paipoonge was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operate a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 mgs of Alcohol contrary to the Criminal Code. Further investigation revealed that he was also driving while under suspension.
He was held in custody pending a video court hearing on November 3 2013.
