(GEORGIAN BAY TOWNSHIP) – On April 2, 2016 at approximately 9:08 p.m. officers from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a RIDE check on the on/off ramp from Highway 400 to Highway 12 in Georgian Bay Township.
A white Chevrolet Orlando approached the RIDE check. Upon speaking to the two male occupants, an officer detected a smell of marihuana. Through further investigation, officers located a small quantity of suspected marihuana in the vehicle.
The male passenger, Tony Jason GAZSI (age 23) of Tay Township, ON is charged with:
Possession of a Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana – under 30 grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on May 12, 2016 in Midland, ON.
