(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On May 29, 2016, at approximately 5:31 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were alerted to a possible impaired operator of a motor vehicle, parked at a golf course on Medway Road.
Officers determined the male seated in the driver’s seat of the blue Saturn car had been drinking alcohol.
He was arrested and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath testing, which revealed he had consumed more than twice the legal limit of alcohol.
As a result of the police investigation, 53-year-old Gary CARTIER, from London, Ontario, has been charged with care or control while impaired (alcohol), contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to answer the charge in a London court on June 27, 2016.
