(STRATHROY-CARADOC TWP, ON) – A male driver has been arrested and charged following a traffic stop on Highway 402 in the area of Oriole Drive in Strathroy-Caradoc Township.
On August 26, 2014 at approximately 4:30 p.m. Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint of an erratic driver travelling eastbound on Highway 402 by Kerwood Road. An officer observed the vehicle and initiated a stop by Oriole Drive.
Police discovered the driver had been drinking and a roadside test was administered. The driver registered a fail. The driver was arrested and brought to an OPP detachment for further tests. As a result of the investigation, the driver, Gary CARMICHAEL, age 59 of Kitchener, ON was charged with one count of Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and one count of Having Over 80 mg of Alcohol in 100mL of Blood.
The accused was released by way of a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in a London courtroom October 7, 2014 to speak to the charges.
