(Deseronto, ON)- On Sunday, April 24, 2016 at 1:00 a.m. an officer with the Napanee detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police stopped a pick-up truck that was speeding and swerving on County Road 2 in Deseronto.
As a result of the traffic stop the officer seized open beer from the vehicle and arrested the driver for impaired.
Charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code is 35 year-old Phillip GARRISON of Greater Napanee. GARRISON also faces charges of having an unsealed container of liquor in a motor vehicle contrary to the Liquor Licence Act and speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
He was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to attend Provincial Court in Napanee on May 10, 2016.
