(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – The City of Kawartha Lakes Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded with other emergency services personnel to a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 35 and Northline Road. The collision occurred at approximately 11:13am.
A 2016 Freightliner transport truck was travelling in the southbound lane on Highway 35 at Northline Road when it struck a 2002 Chevrolet that was stationary and waiting to turn east into a private drive. As a result the Chevrolet crossed over the centerline and struck a 2015 Jeep travelling northbound on Highway 35.
The driver of the 2002 Chevrolet and the driver of the 2015 Jeep were transported from the scene by ambulance with minor injuries.
Charged is 45 year old, Bryan HUBER, of Milverton, Ontario with Careless Driving contrary to section 130 of the Highway Traffic Act.
