(East-Hawkesbury, ON) On November 20th, 2013, in the Municipality of East-Hawkesbury, while on patrol at approximately 11:30 am on Highway 417, OPP Constable Jonathan Bouchard observed a grey 2013 BMW 335i traveling at 156 km/h in a posted 100 km/h zone. The vehicle was consequently intercepted.
The driver, François TREMBLAY (40 yrs) of Montreal, QC, was charged with section 172 of the Ontario Highway Traffic Act for Race a motor vehicle.
The vehicle was seized and impounded for 7 days
The drivers’ licence was also seized and suspended for 7 days.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the L’Orignal Court on December 18th.
