Fourth Male Charged

(MOOSONEE, ON) – On May 12, 2014 at approximately 7:45 pm members of the Moosonee Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break and enter in progress at a business located on Mistik Boulevard. Officers arrived shortly after and found the interior of the business to be ransacked and heavily damaged. The company vehicles had also been damaged extensively. The owners directed officers into the bush line where the subjects fled.

The accused led officers on a chase through the bush until two of the three were located and arrested on Bay Road. The third accused turned himself in on the morning of May 13, 2014.

The three males, ages 17, 15 and 14 have been charged with the following offences:

– Break, enter a place and commit an indictable offence

– Mischief over $5000

The continuing investigation revealed that a fourth male was involved. On May 15, 2014 Gabriel FIREMAN (21) of Moosonee, ON was arrested and charged with the following offences:

– Break, enter a place and commit an indictable offence

– Mischief over $5000

– Fail to comply with probation order

– Uttering threats to cause bodily harm

The identities of the three youth accused will not be released as they are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. All accused were released on promises to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Moosonee on July 8, 2014.
